here's a civics test to see if you, as an american citizen (or resident alien, or illegal immigrant :P), are fulfilling your civic duty by being knowledgeable about the nation you pledge allegiance to, or are leeching off of. and yes, i ended the last sentence with a preposition. i do that a lot, thanks.

http://www.americancivicliteracy.org/resources/quiz.aspx

i got a 27/33. i thought i was gonna pass with a legit >90% until the questions started heading towards the economy. since when was economics part of american civics? anyway, here are the questions i got wrong -

Question #7 - D. Gettysburg Address
Question #13 - E. certain permanent moral and political truths are accessible to human reason
Question #14 - B. stressed the sinfulness of all humanity
Question #28 - C. requires those with higher incomes to pay a higher ratio of taxes to income
Question #29 - B. a resident can benefit from it without directly paying for it
Question #33 - D. tax per person equals government spending per person

just shows you how much i know about economics. i don't think i've ever been in a true econ class (no offense, mr. fox haha). otherwise, i'm pretty happy with an 80ish percent. it seems to top the avg american quite a bit, and even some of our elected officials. so, i can declare myself a baller when it comes to civics. if you're owning the quiz, then you are a baller too. we can be civic ballers together

week 9 means finals are soon. time to own! or get owned.

kobe kicked ass tonight.
